We fly these colors on every mast. They are not fine print; they are the point.
1. Satire, parody, and protected commentary
Hornswaggled is a satirical publication offering commentary, parody, criticism, and opinion on matters of significant public concern — franchise regulation, consumer protection, and the conduct of litigation in public courts. It is protected expression under the First Amendment of the United States Constitution. The pirate framing, the epithets, the Frochise™ coinage, and the jokes are rhetorical devices; the documents underneath them are real and cited.
2. Sources: the public record
All factual assertions derive from publicly available materials: filings on PACER (E.D.N.Y. Case No. 2:20-cv-02877-WFK-SIL and related M.D. Fla. miscellaneous dockets), NYSCEF (Suffolk County Index No. 606928/2025), USPTO/TTAB records, Florida Division of Corporations (Sunbiz) records, New York Attorney General enforcement documents filed as federal exhibits, SBA notices, and the companies’ own public marketing. Readers are urged — genuinely — to pull the originals and verify.
3. Allegations are not findings
Where a court has made a finding, we quote the court and cite the docket. Everything else — every characterization of motive, every unresolved claim, every “as far as we know” — is presented as allegation, question, satire, or opinion, not as established fact. No person named on this site is accused of any crime, and nothing herein accuses any witness of perjury. Litigation is ongoing; positions described here are contested.
4. Right of response
Sea Tow Services International, Joseph J. Frohnhoefer III, Kristen Frohnhoefer, Mitchell A. Stein, and every other person or entity discussed here retain all rights to respond, correct, or rebut. Substantive corrections supported by documents will be published. Write to hornswaggled@proton.me.
5. Not legal, financial, or investment advice
Nothing on this site is legal advice, financial advice, or a substitute for professional counsel. Franchise law is technical and fact-specific. If you are a current or prospective franchisee with concerns, consult a licensed franchise attorney — ideally one with no affiliation to the franchisor whose paperwork worries you.
6. AI-assisted content disclosure
Portions of this publication — text, layout, and satirical imagery — are produced with the assistance of artificial-intelligence tools and are editorially reviewed. Where AI-generated imagery appears (flags, crests, illustrations), it is illustrative and satirical, not photographic evidence of anything.
7. No affiliation
Hornswaggled is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Sea Tow Services International, Inc., the U.S. Small Business Administration, the New York State Attorney General, any court, or any party to the litigation. Trademarks referenced belong to their owners; references are nominative, for commentary and criticism.
8. Fundraisers
Where any dispatch links to third-party fundraising (e.g., GoFundMe campaigns), Hornswaggled does not administer, process, or receive those donations. Evaluate any fundraiser independently before contributing.
9. Anonymity
Hornswaggled publishes anonymously, a tradition as old as pamphleteering and as American as The Federalist Papers — though we concede our wigs are sillier. Anonymity protects the whistle, not the accuracy: the citations do the identifying work.
